why are the female characters so weak sometimes. jeez can we get a ran moment where shes not thinking about shinichi every two seconds

LesK • 2 years ago

sure, when she's kicking ass, doing a drop knee kick into a car window to bust it in, kicking a door down with one shot, doing a shining wizard into a pro-wrestler's head and knocking him out, straight arm punching down into the corner of her father's office desk and crushing said desk almost a foot downwards, should i go on? that lil girl is a beast.

but you get her with the ghost story, the creeping fog, the supernatural, and she's a screaming clingy lil baby.

shrug, blame the show's screenwriters and the mangaka for writing her like that. she's been waffling back and forth between those two polar opposite character types for... 344 episodes now. and apparently it never. stops.

This exactly. I think an issue I have with Ran's character is she almost has no spectrum, it's either Shinichi mode or Karate mode. It sorta makes her characterization less realistic and less empathetic.

Precisely why I prefer Haibara, who has shown proper character depth and development. Honestly, as the heroine, Ran really needs a proper character arc. Haibara was more interesting her second episode than Ran has been for a few hundred.

She’s feels like a damsel in distress sometimes despite being a tomboy most of the time but honestly she’s fine but I do remember this case where she could solve it herself

strange guy • 1 year ago

Nothing wrong with her in my opinion her writing is fine it’s just her being a damsel in distress doesn’t work with people .It’s probably why Gintama and one piece got a lot of love from people

strange guy • 1 year ago

There was a case where she solved one and Conan watched her do it herself you either forgot about it

LesK • 1 year ago

i remember the one that Conan was elsewhere, probably camping with the DBC, and Ran and her rich gal-pal and FBI babe sensei were in the middle of something... and Shin/Conan helped her out a tiny bit on the phone... but i don't think she's ever solved one entirely solo with ZERO assists.

Ran's brave and a fighter, but she has phasmophobia. It really doesn't matter if she's brave or strong when she has an irrational fear. Besides, you can't kick a tengu.

I'm under the immediate assumption that Ran has phasmophobia because my granddad also had phasmophobia. He was a veteran badass, but put him next to a Ouija board and he'd have a panic attack.

LesK • 1 year ago

yup, the spooky stuff definitely creeps Ran out easily!

Not every one there is sato who’s quite independent

Mir • 2 years ago

this is a good case. It isnt murder and all is well. I'm hoping for a Ran moment where she's more confident and less dependent on shinichi next time.

Ohhh the ending. I wonder if she'll open it up to anyone and not just dismiss it.

strange guy • 1 year ago

I mean remember a case a while back when she could do it especially Conan watching

Ceiling-fan25 • 2 years ago

This was nice!! I liked that Ran was able to pretty much solve the case herself. Although it would've been nice if she didn't have to rely on Shinichi too much, but I can't blame her for wanting confirmation cuz that is one crazy conclusion to come to (Sometimes I wonder how she even came to that conclusion in the first place, I mean I get it it all explained and all, but still, that's a pretty crazy thing to come up with.)
Also the after credits scene :) :) :) Things are picking up!! I'm super excited for the next episode!!!!!!

strange guy • 1 year ago

Um we did see her solve a case on her own where she remembered shinichi and that’s the one where this lady was out of control with car and her husband is the one that did it .Sadly this is the episode

bari • 2 years ago

the conclusion of the case is pretty unexpected, wow

Aw I liked this a lot, how wholesome

Sekai • 2 years ago

This is a nice episode

Damn, seeing episodes like this from Conan makes my disappointment for Tantei Mou Shindeiru 10x worse.

Shirayuki Hana • 1 year ago

At this point, I prefer Sonoko's character more than Ran because her character has more depth. Pabebe kasi masyado ni Ran kainis

strange guy • 1 year ago

I mean sato and hibari are probably interesting

10:15 everyone eavesdropping on their phone call 📞 is just weird. Not that they’re doing it but that Ran doesn’t mind. I mean I wouldn‘t mind I‘d just think that it is highly impolite, but I know people who get real mad when someone is trying to hear their conversation.
Does Ran even have the keys to his house?
Wait sensei wasn’t working when the incident with the cyanide infused ice happened. How‘d she get the pictures

Satilinethejay • 10 months ago

3:00, are those Sharon Vineyard's glasses? Cause I've noticed before that the style is almost exactly the same, remember from the flashback episode in New York? 11:12, this, this is something I wish they'd go into more, about how the detective are people too. Cause too often they're able to brush off these awful murders, etc. Oh no, she found the Conan shrine. 23:28, oh they fixed it, it doesn't say "Cool gay" anymore. The ink also isn't pink anymore either.

SHINICHI CALLED RAN IN FRONT JODIE???? i wonder what would Jodie's reaction be since she's aware Shinichi is in fact Conan and sees Shinichi calling and hears his voice... she'll be in SHOCK 😭
oh she didn't react at all... weird...

WHAT???? THIS GUY IS INSANE LMAOZLDKZKSK
oh wait- i feel kinda bad for him... he must've been really going through hell to settle for living in that... poor guy but he's so smart???? i'm still blown away by how he figured how to do everything without being suspected or anything like????
and the shopowner was really really nice, didn't expect that at all. that's so heart-warming. i teared up just a little bit.
I loved this case a lot idk... it kind of was surprising and unexpected outcome, Ran solving it by herself, just a good episode.

also btw, i FINALLY figured that Jodie isn't in fact Vermouth because.... Vermouth left Japan recently and went to the US and Jodie is still here in Japan so... they must be two separate persons!
and that leads to another question, why is Jodie coincidentally deciding to leave Japan and return to the US... AS WELL? hmmm... she's pursuing Vermouth????? if so, how did she know she left as well? I'm dying to knowwwww 😭

how can you just spend the night at your teacher's house because you just... felt like it? weird....
WAITTTTTT OH MY GOD???????? SHE SAW THE FUCKING PICTURES OH MY GODODODOO THIS IS INSANEEEE I'M SCREAMING

it's one of Sir Arthur Conan Doyle's most famous quotes from Holmes. it is one of the basic premises of deductive reasoning. here's a pretty detailed definition: Deductive reasoning is a logical approach where you progress from general ideas to specific conclusions. It’s often contrasted with inductive reasoning, where you start with specific observations and form general conclusions.

Deductive reasoning is also called deductive logic or top-down reasoning.

Note: Deductive reasoning is often confused with inductive reasoning. However, in inductive reasoning, you draw conclusions by going from the specific to the general.

ok so far?

well most 'amateur sleuths' confuse in and de ductive reasoning because, most 'deduction shows' are actually based on BOTH inductive and de.

for example, this episode. specific things are missing, games DVDs and food. those are SPECIFIC OBSERVATIONS. these things go missing only on certain days under certain conditions, once more this is specific. the conditions are: this one girl is working, and the boxes around the bathroom are organized neatly. that girl is a part-timer and only works a few days a week. the items in question only go missing when she closes the store and cleans up. she's Ran and Sonoko's age, remember she's their middle-school classmate. she's not attending the same HS as Shin, Ran, and Sonoko.

if Ran and Shinichi were using deductive reasoning, only generalized observations would be made and a SPECIFIC conclusion would be made from those vague facts.

using in and de at the same time is often called 'fuzzy logic' ... aka inspirational thought. ever have that lightbulb moment? the AHA! ME THINKS I'VE GOT IT! and you've got absolutely no idea what-so-ever where you got that inspiration from? that's 'fuzzy logic'. your brain and mind were working on this problem, burbling bubbling stirring the pot in your subconscious and 'bing!' you came up with a solution without consciously processing things. think of it this way, logic goes: A then B then C and answer is D... with inspirational thought, you jump from A to D immediately without working through B and C.

with Doyle's quote, you eliminate almost everything and anything to come to an impossible conclusion. if you can simulate anything, think of everything, get an answer to any question that could be asked about your reasoning, and your result is an impossible one? that result HAS to be 100% correct, because you've eliminated any. other. result.

Honestly, now i feel like I need work out my 🧠.
Since no one left the building and some stuff like food still went missing. I thought maybe a rat comes out in the middle of the night to have a snack. And I brushed the thought way almost immediately 😂.
Your analysis from time to time on human psychology and on some episodes are really 🤯.
